Open Question: Nudity and the law-what say you?

7 September 2010, 8:26 pm

It's come again in a town in Washington State Should public Nudity be allowed in Public places? It started here but comes up time and time again-- http://www.kensavage.com/archives/vermont-teens-are-naked-in-public-and-its-legal/comment-page-1/#comment-74526 (you don't need link to answer) There are two sides at work here. If you had to choose, what do you say is right? Make a law or no law to be made? One side: Narrow minds and legislators are at it again to regulate the natural state of the human body, being nude. where there are no laws against being nude, a few people are now trying to regulate this natural state because of a few people in one city. To many laws-When does a society make laws based upon the actions of a few Nudity is accepted all over Europe in many cities, and even more districts of cities. All across Asia and others Notice that pornography is not a significant interest for most of humanity. But here in the United States where we condemn respectfully being nude, pornography is of the greatest interest. Narrow minds are the mainstay of public corruption. Morality is a completely different concept than ethical consideration. It's oppression It's about ethical consideration they are trying to block it It's a frivolous law that subjugate the masses for the purpose of corporate (including religion corporations) power and profit. Whenever a society makes a law that circumvents the desires of a local community, they are treading heavily quality of life for that community's individuals. A local community should have the right to choose various lifestyles, different than those around them. Where is the freedom for the individual if they can not choose to live in diverse communities. If there are no diverse communities, then that society is condemned to revolt. Being the case of Brattleboro, the kids were respectful of everyone and their property. They are activist that are stating that they want to act differently without being punished. They want to push the system and have a little fun. So making laws abused.... The point being, respectful teenagers will likely be pushed into the corrupt world the rest of us live. If everyone were nude, who would care? Side two : Women have a hard enough time being really respected and many are making it worst. BTW here in this place and the way it is now-does not change the fact this is demeaning to what women deserve and hurting what women fought very hard to get in the past and some died for--Respect. Respect that comes from using their mind not their body Women fought long and very hard for years to not have to use their bodies but to be able to use their mind and be respected for it. It started a movement. And many women today benefit from it. That should make people think more of their actions and how it affects this world Are we going backward again and saying the body will prove the point better?? Should issues be helped and decided and defined by what we wear or not wear or by what we are and can reason on ? It brings in more corrupting influences to the town and hurts others (several links on that-I won't add --true) Depraved morals are bad enough why add to it I don't want to see many nude We need the law to protect others Clearly, this has a positive side and a negative side. But do you feel there should be laws or no laws? Any feelings at all on the issue?... Read More »
